HOUSTON, TX – Commuters were met with delays as the result of a rush-hour collision on Houston’s northwest side Friday evening.

According to Total Traffic Houston, the accident took place shortly before 5 p.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway, near Exit 249 to Tomball Parkway.

Constables respond to multi-vehicle crash on Sam Houston Pkwy.

HOUSTON, TX – Constables responded to a multi-vehicle crash on the Sam Houston Parkway early Friday morning.

According to a tweet from the Harris County Constable, the accident occurred at about 7:11 a.m. within the 380 block of North Sam Houston Parkway, near Imperial Valley Drive.

The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, at least two vehicles were involved.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

HPD search for driver responsible for fatal hit-and-run in early July

HOUSTON, TX – Police in Houston are searching for the driver responsible for fatally striking a man at a cemetery driveway earlier this month.

According to a report by the Houston Police Department, the incident occurred on July 3rd at the Genoa Cemetary along Alameda Genoa Road.

Police say 32-year-old Gabriel Rodriguez was laying on the ground near the entrance gate when he was run over by a 2010 Nissan Altima.

Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene. Further investigation revealed that he may have been intoxicated and was seen lying in the driveway to the cemetery with headphones on.

The driver of the Nissan fled the scene before authorities arrived. No further information on their identity is available at this time.

Major delays reported after train strikes truck in River Oaks

HOUSTON, TX – Rush-hour commuters were met with significant delays after a train collided with a truck in the River Oaks District on Wednesday.

According to KPRC, the crash took palace shortly before 5:30 p.m. within the 4100 blokc of San Felipe Street.

The circumstances leading up to the crash are unclear at this time. However, no injuries were reported a direct result.

The truck needed to be moved before the train could continue down the tracks. This caused a significant traffic jam in the area.
