Angel’s Story
When was it? It was a rainy, definitely sort of sprinkly day. We were actually going to go out and look for a house. We were going to move out from an apartment to a house, and we were pretty excited to go see the house and all that, just a regular day. So it was my wife, my son, and myself. My wife was in the passenger seat, my kid in the middle. It was a single cab truck. My kid was in the middle and myself, the driver. My son was like two years old at that time, so he was just a little boy. And my wife was actually the one that caught into it. She’s like, “Babe, babe, babe. Watch out.” And I looked over and sure enough there was a van coming my way. I tried to avoid it, but sometimes no matter how hard you try to avoid it, things still happen.
So some of my injuries were on my right shoulder, I had, it was sort of some tendon tears, some tear on my shoulder. My wrist also had some sort of tendon tears on my wrist. I had some bulging disc on my back, a herniated disc, and I received two injections, one injection on my shoulder, steroid injection, and on my back I had two injections as well, steroid injections.
I was most worried about the financial. “Man, now what are we going to do? Now, what’s going to happen next?” Finding a house now that’s out the window. Now we have to figure out, the survival instincts kick in on, “Now how are we going to do it? Now what’s going to happen?” If it wasn’t for my brother-in-law, I think he was the one that really was like, “Hey, I think you need an attorney. I think you should get yourself an attorney. You should call them and see how they can help you.”
Otherwise, I think I would’ve just been like, “You know what, man, bummer and move on.” But I really appreciate my brother-in-law for that. If it wasn’t for his input to tell me to, “Hey, go call them. They can help you, do something.”
I knew right away because their sense of reassurance to me, the way they spoke to me, the way they gave me the information, it made me feel secure. You know what I mean? It was the way they described the steps to me and the things that take and things like that. Like I said, their energy they gave off to me was like, “Okay, we’re going to be okay.” I smiled that day. I said, “Okay, we’re going to be fine. We’re going to be all right.”

It was totally a relief when they tell you, “No, we’re going to take care of you. It’s going to be fine.” They have a lot of experience, so they’re the soothing, calm in the chaos. Their energy that they gave off to me was like, “These guys are experienced, they know what they’re doing. We’re going to be okay. We’re going to be fine. Everything’s going to be all right.” Like I said, it was a really awesome experience to be able to have them as part of my team, behind my back to take care of us. Not feeling alone, that was a very positive memory for me, that I know that they were there to take care of us. I didn’t feel nervous. During court or things like that, appointments, I knew that they were there too. If I had questions, they would answer my question and I feel really comfortable around them.
I think they were being professional. They were being real professional. I think that’s what stood out for me. Sometimes I can hear other people talk and all that. Even their sense of talking, I can sort of tell, “No, not interested.” But the way they handled themselves, it’s very professional, and I think that’s what made me stay. I would totally recommend Kherkher Garcia, yes.
