Dakota was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, and earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from Lamar University. The son of a respected trial attorney, Dakota was inspired from an early age to pursue a career dedicated to advocating for those harmed by the negligence of others. To achieve this goal, he pursued his legal education at South Texas College of Law in Houston.
Before joining Kherkher Garcia in 2025, Dakota represented major insurance companies for several years in complex litigation, including commercial trucking accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death cases. His background in insurance defense provided him with substantial trial experience and a deep understanding of how large corporations and insurance companies operate and value cases.
Today, advocating for individuals against insurance companies, he leverages this knowledge to protect the rights of his clients, ensuring they receive dedicated and skilled representation. This background allows Dakota to walk clients through the legal process from both sides of the table.
