Chelsea Gillespie
Associate
Chelsea is a dedicated first-generation attorney with a strong passion for serving others in the legal field. She earned her Bachelor’s degree Magna Cum Laude from Southeastern Louisiana University, majoring in Criminal Justice with minors in Sociology and Spanish. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Chelsea consistently appeared on the Dean’s list and President’s List, reflecting her ethics for hard work and excellence.
Following graduation, Chelsea gained valuable experience working at a law firm in Hammond, Louisiana before moving to Houston, Texas to attend South Texas College of Law Houston.
While in law school, she was actively engaged in various extracurricular activities, served as Vice President of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and volunteered with the Randy O. Sorrels Pro Bono Legal Clinic, where she provided crucial legal services to victims of domestic violence. Chelsea also had the honor of serving as a Langdell Scholar for Civil Procedure II, tutoring first-year law students, and received the CALI Awards for achieving the highest grades in Torts I, Civil Procedure II, Texas Trial & Appellate Procedure, Family Law, and Civil Rights Litigation.
Chelsea departed South Texas College of Law Houston graduating in the top 10% of her class. Throughout law school and her prior legal experience, Chelsea focused primarily on civil litigation, honing her skills in personal injury cases, including workplace injuries, commercial motor vehicle accidents, and wrongful death claims. Chelsea approaches each case with the diligence and empathy necessary to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Chelsea represents clients in Texas and nationwide who have been hurt or had loved ones killed by the negligence of trucking companies, oil and gas companies, and maritime companies.
When not practicing law, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her Pit Bull, Endymion (a name inspired by New Orleans roots), watching horror movies, and wine tasting-particularly Chianti and Cabernet. Chelsea is also passionate about fitness and personal development, continually looking for new opportunities to grow and improve mentally and physically.
