George “Trey” Hinkle is an associate attorney at Kherkher Garcia LLP.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, and the son of a lawyer, Trey has seen firsthand the value of passionate representation for those who have been wronged and has since strived to help those within our community and around the state. Trey’s practice includes handling complex wrongful death matters, commercial trucking incidents, oil/gas explosion and exposure cases, premises liability, and dram shop matters. Trey ensures he provides consistent, effective, and client-oriented representation throughout the litigation process and offers clear guidance at every step.
Before becoming a lawyer, Trey previously graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Baylor University. Afterward, Trey remained in Waco, Texas, to attend Baylor Law School. While at Baylor Law, Trey competed on multiple nationally ranked mock trial and moot court teams, served on the Student Bar Association, was President of his class, and was an editor of the Baylor Law Review. Trey also won the Steve Dillard Practice Court Award, the highest honor recognizing high achievement in Baylor’s notorious “Practice Court” program. Trey graduated from Baylor Law magna cum laude.
Before joining Kherkher Garcia, Trey worked at Texas’s oldest personal injury firm, where he represented clients in a variety of personal injury matters, including commercial trucking accidents, oilfield accidents, chemical leaks, and wrongful death cases.
Trey is a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, the Houston Young Lawyers Association, and was recognized by Best Lawyers as a “One to Watch” in 2026.
In his spare time, Trey is exploring new restaurants, running in Houston’s parks, and watching the Astros, Rockets, and Baylor Bears with friends and family.
