Beyond trial work, Eric has developed particular experience in appellate advocacy. His appellate work includes providing critical support to trial teams by helping them to preserve favorable verdicts and remedying trial errors on appeal. Eric also handles briefing and oral arguments at the federal and state level for cases that either side chooses to appeal.
Background
A Dallas native, Eric graduated with a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. He then returned to his alma mater for law school as a recipient of the prestigious Tom C. Clark Fellows Scholarship in Law.
While at The University of Texas School of Law, Eric demonstrated his commitment to advocating for the disadvantaged when he participated in the Capital Punishment Clinic as a Student Attorney, assisting with the representation of indigent defendants charged with or convicted of capital offenses.
Eric’s dedication to public service continued during law school and afterward with his work for non-profit organizations, including the Texas Legal Services Center, where he aided victims of identity theft, and the Texas Center for Policy Studies, where he contributed to environmental policy reform in Texas.
After law school, Eric began his legal career handling business litigation in Houston, Texas. Since 2014, Eric has worked along side Jesus Garcia in representing plaintiffs with serious personal injuries.
