Woman killed in 2-vehicle crash on West Fequa St

HOUSTON, TX – A crash on West Fuqua St took the life of a 35-year-old female on Monday night, reports the Houston Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to 6600 West Fuqua Street after receiving reports of the incident around 10:20 p.m.

A blue Mazda driven by the victim was heading east on West Fuqua St when it ran the red light and struck a Kia Forte that was traveling north on Chimney Rock. The force of the collision sent the Mazda into a tree.

The driver of the Mazda was hospitalized at Ben Taub General Hospital. She died on Tuesday, July 6 from injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the Kia, an unidentified 31-year-old male, was hospitalized with minor injuries.
