Woman critically injured from group home fire in Alief

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was critically injured after being trapped inside a burning group home on Wednesday morning, reports News 4.

Reports of the fire came in around 4 a.m. and first responders were dispatched to a home near the intersection of Concho St and Leawood Blvd.

Eight people were inside the home at the time of the fire. Seven of them were able to make it out on their own accord.

The eighth occupant was found trapped in a back room by firefighters. She was then taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what set the home on fire.
