Update: More information has been released on deadly crash

HOUSTON, TX -More information has been released concerning the deadly crash on Westheimer Rd Monday morning, reports KTRK.

An unidentified 44-year-old man was speeding in the westbound lane of Westheimer Rd in a Ferrari when they lost control of their car and entered the eastbound lanes.

Once in the eastbound lanes, the Ferarri struck a Hyundai Elantra driven by an unidentified 57-year-old woman. The impact from the collision flipped the Elantra upside down on the roadway.

Paramedics pronounced the driver of the Elantra dead at the scene. The Ferrari driver was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died.

The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the case.
