News: Alleged impaired driver runs light, fatally crashes into car on Beamer Rd

HOUSTON, TX – According to police, an alleged impaired driver ran a red light and fatally collided with another vehicle at 10900 Beamer Rd Saturday.

Authorities say that Kyle Nolen Lozano, 40, was speeding in a Cadillac Deville on northbound Beamer Rd when he ran the red light and plowed into a Ford Escape on Fuqua Dr.

Paramedics were called to the scene around 5:20 p.m. They transported the driver and 55-year-old female passenger of the Escape to an area hospital. The driver died at the hospital. The passenger was admitted in critical condition.

Police determined that Lozano was impaired at the time of the collision. He was charged and booked in jail after he was treated for minor injuries at an area hospital.

News update: Authorities arrest suspect for fatal crash at 2100 Pierce St

HOUSTON, TX – Police have arrested and charged a suspect in connection with a fatal crash at 2100 Pierce st Saturday.

According to authorities, Timoteo Arteaga, 36, was driving a Volkswagen Tiguan on southbound St. Emanuel St when he ran a stop sign at the intersection with Pierce St and collided with a Kia Forte operated by a 30-year-old male.

Paramedics were called to the scene around 10:10 p.m. They transported the victim to an area hospital, where he later died.

Police detained Arteaga and found him to be impaired. Arteaga and his passenger were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities will transfer Artaega to jail once he is released from the hospital.

News: Alleged impaired driver arrested for fatal crash on Bingle Dr

HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, police have arrested an alleged impaired driver in connection with a fatal wreck at 5500 Bingle Dr Saturday.

John Arturo Ramos, 23, drove a Dodge Dakota when he collided with a Toyota Rav 4. The impact sent the Dodge Dakota flying into the air, where it then hit a tree in the median. That collision bounced the Dakota into the Toyota.

First responders pronounced Ramos’s passenger dead at the scene of the crash. They transported Ramos to an area hospital. Nobody in the Rav 4 was hurt.

Police believed Ramos showed signs of impairment and arrested him.

News: Suspected impaired driver crashes into patrol car on Aldine Mail Route Rd

HOUSTON, TX – A driver suspected of being impaired slammed head-on into a patrol car on the 500 block of Aldine Mail Route Road Thursday evening, reports ABC 13.

The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m.  The suspect, an unidentified 59-year-old man, left the westbound lanes of Aldine Mail Route Rd in his Toyota Solara and crashed into the deputy’s patrol car, which was in the eastbound lanes.

Investigators do not believe the suspect was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. However, the Solara’s airbag did deploy on impact.

Following the crash, both drivers were hospitalized with minor injuries

Though no alcoholic containers were found in the suspect’s Solara, deputies planned on conducting a toxicology test at the hospital.

The results of the test as well as the names of the suspect and deputy have not yet been released.
