News: Two women killed in late-night crash on FM 1942 in Crosby

CROSBY, TX – Two women were killed in a late-night crash on FM 1942 Road in Crosby on Saturday that may have involved an intoxicated driver, according to information from KHOU.

The collision happened in the 3300 block of FM 1942 at 11:15 p.m., as the driver of a white pickup truck collided with another vehicle as it was backing out of a private driveway. The impact then sent the car into a ditch.

The passenger of the struck vehicle was ejected during the crash. She and the driver were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital and is currently being investigated for possibly driving while intoxicated.

No charges have yet been filed and the investigation continues at this time.

News: Person dead after wrong-way driver crashes into 3 cars on Hwy 249

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed in a wrong-way crash on Highway 249 in North Houston late last night, according to KTRK.

The crash occurred on southbound Highway 249 near Seaton Lake Drive at around 10 p.m., as the driver of a Dodge Journey was driving northbound, against the flow of traffic. There, the driver collided head-on with a Toyota Matrix.

The driver of the Journey continued, then crashed into a Toyota Tundra, and then into a Honda Accord.

The driver of the Matrix was pronounced dead after the collision.

It is unclear if anyone else was injured in the crash.

News: Man crossing street in southeast Houston fatally hit by car

HOUSTON, TX – A man crossing the street in southeast Houston was killed when he was hit by a driver late last night, according to KHOU.

The crash occurred at around 8 p.m. near the Gulf Freeway in the 9000 block of Clearwood Drive as the victim, who was not immediately identified, was crossing the street in an attempt to reach either a bus stop or a convenience store.

The victim was then struck by the driver of a white pickup truck who may not have been using his headlights.

The victim was pronounced dead after the crash.

The driver remained at the scene following the collision and has cooperated with the investigation. Authorities do not believe he was intoxicated when the crash occurred.

Their investigation continues at this time.

News: 1 person dead, 2 injured in alleged DUI crash on Chimney Rock Rd

HOUSTON, TX – One person is dead and a woman is facing drunk driving charges after a crash in southwest Houston that also led to the injury of two other people early this morning.

According to KHOU, the crash occurred at around 3 a.m. near Gasmer Drive in the 11800 block of Chimney Rock Road, when a woman allegedly under the influence reportedly ran a red light. Her vehicle then collided with a second vehicle driving through the intersection.

Two people in the struck vehicle were taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

A passenger riding with the alleged drunk driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity was not immediately released.

Authorities took the suspect driver into police custody, and she may be facing possible intoxication manslaughter charges as a result of the crash.

News: 1 teen dead, another injured in 2-car crash on Buffalo Speedway

HOUSTON, TX – A 16-year-old girl is dead and an 18-year-old was hurt in a two-vehicle collision in southeast Houston last night, according to KTRK.

The collision happened in the 13900 block of Buffalo Speedway, near Darlinghurst Drive, at about 6:40 p.m., when the driver of a Dodge Cobalt was attempting to drive across the northbound lanes of Buffalo Speedway.

The Cobalt was then struck by the 18-year-old driver of a Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The pickup was sent over the curb and into the wooded median.

A passenger in the Ram, a 16-year-old girl, was pronounced dead after the crash.

The driver of the pickup was injured as a result.

It is unclear if the driver of the Cobalt was hurt.

One Killed in a Truck Crash At 1800 Blalock Road

Houston, Texas – According to Houston Police report, a yet-to-be-identified man was involved in a fatal traffic crash along Campbell Road, just before 1800 Blalock Road which occurred about 5:23 A.M on September 15, 2021

 

 

It was reported that a gray Chevrolet Silverado truck was headed north when it hit a Toyota Corolla going east. The passenger sitting on the front of the Toyota died instantly.

 

 

A nonfunctional traffic light coupled with bad weather conditions seem to be the cause of this crash, as no alcohol was detected.

News: Man dead, woman injured in crash involving suspected drunk driver

HOUSTON, TX – A man is dead and a woman is in the hospital following a collision with a suspected intoxicated driver on Highway 249 early Saturday morning, according to KTRK.

The crash happened near Breen Drive, just after 12 a.m., as a man and woman riding in a vehicle were stopped in a turning lane. Their car was then struck by the driver of a pickup truck who had veered out of its lane.

The male passenger in the first vehicle suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The female driver was hospitalized with severe injuries.

The driver, later identified as Donnovan Garcia, was reportedly under the influence when the accident occurred. He is facing charges of intoxicated manslaughter and aggravated assault in connection with the fatal collision.
