News: Driver dead, 4 people injured after multi-vehicle crash on Hwy 6

HOUSTON, TX – A driver was killed and multiple people were injured as a result of a wrong-way crash involving multiple vehicles on Highway 6 late Saturday night, according to KHOU.

The accident occurred at around 10:50 p.m. in the 13300 block of Highway 6 N, near Hempstead Road and Copper Grove Boulevard.

The driver of a Toyota Sienna minivan crossed over the concrete and into the lanes of oncoming northbound traffic. The southbound Sienna then crashed into the side of a Ford F-150 pickup truck.

The driver of the F-150 attempted to avoid the crash and made an evasive maneuver into the lanes of oncoming southbound traffic, where he almost crashed into the driver of a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck. The driver of the Colorado then swerved into the northbound lanes to try to avoid the F-150, where the Colorado crashed into the Sienna.

The driver of the Sienna died at the scene.

The driver’s daughter was taken to the hospital with severe injuries that she is expected to survive.

The drivers of the two pickup trucks suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment. A passenger in the Colorado also suffered minor wounds in the crash.

The drivers of the Ford and the Colorado were not intoxicated when the accident happened. At this time, authorities have not yet determined if the deceased driver was under the influence.

Their investigation continues.

News: At least one person killed in late-night car crash near UH

HOUSTON, TX – At least one person was killed in a late-night crash near the University of Houston on Friday, according to information from the Houston Police Department.

The crash happened in the 3400 block of Scott Street, near Reeves Street and the Carl Lewis International Track and Field Complex at around 11:20 p.m.

At least one person was killed in the accident.

The exact number of victims and the circumstances of the crash were not immediately released.

HIGHLANDS, TX – A man was killed in a collision that may have been the result of intoxicated driving late last night in eastern Harris County, according to KTRK.

The crash happened in Highlands near the intersection of N Magnolia Street and W Houston Street at about 11 p.m., when a driver reportedly ran a stop sign. The vehicle then crashed into a ditch.

The driver, who wasn’t immediately identified, may have been under the influence when the crash happened.

The victim, who was identified only as a man, was pronounced dead after the collision.

News: Woman dead after crashing vehicle into barricade, ditch in Katy

KATY, TX – A woman was killed when she crashed her vehicle into a barricade and a ditch on Westgreen Boulevard in the Katy area yesterday, according to KHOU.

The collision occurred near Morton Ranch Elementary School and Raintree Village Drive in the 2600 block of N Westgreen Boulevard at about 3:30 p.m.

A female driver, who was not immediately identified, crashed her vehicle through a barricade, and then went into a ditch.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the collision.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
