SUV rear ends truck, strikes wall, dies on Eastex Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A driver is dead following a crash on the Eastex Freeway Monday, reports the police.
A Toyota 4Runner was driving south on the 11400 block of Eastex at around 12:05 p.m. A Ford Ranger driven by Ronald Willis was ahead of the Toyota.
The Toyota failed to navigate a single lane and struck the back of the Ford. Following the initial collision, the Toyota then swerved west and slammed into the concrete barrier with it’s front end.
Following the collision, the driver of the Toyota was unresponsive. He was hospitalized at a local hospital while CPR was administered. He died at the hospital from his injuries at 12:50 p.m.
The driver of the Ford was uninjured.
The Vehicular Crimes Division of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.
