Pine Village North crash kills one person

HOUSTON, TX – A woman died following a crash in the Pine Village North community of Houston on June 15, reports police.

According to investigators a Cadillac Escalade SUV driven by Wilmetta Walton was heading south on the 12200 block of Homestead Rd. An unidentified female passenger was seating in the front passenger seat.

Walton left the road and struck a guard rail. The vehicle eventually came to rest in a lane of traffic. Walton was hospitalized with minor injuries. The passenger died at the scene. Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes division is investigating the case.
