News: Vehicle strikes, injures pedestrian on SB Gulf Fwy near Griggs Rd

HOUSTON, TX – A vehicle struck a pedestrian and then fled the accident scene on the southbound lanes of the Gulf Fwy near Griggs Rd Sunday, KHOU reports.

The accident happened around 8:15 p.m. The four-vehicle crash began when a male pickup truck driver slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting the victim, who was running across the Fwy.

One of the vehicles involved in the collision struck the pedestrian before fleeing the scene.

First responders hospitalized the woman in critical condition.
