News: Teen driver injured in speed-related crash on Kirkwood Rd in Alief

HOUSTON, TX – A teenage driver was injured in a speed-related crash in the Alief area on Wednesday morning, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation.
The crash occurred in the 8500 block of S Kirkwood Road at 7:50 a.m., when a 17-year-old boy driving a gray 2011 Suzuki failed to control the speed of his vehicle. He then crashed into the back of a black 2009 Toyota being driven by a 65-year-old woman.
The teenage driver suffered possible injuries in the accident.
The other driver was not reported as hurt.
