News: Teen driver charged in deadly single-vehicle crash in Spring

SPRING, TX – The 17-year-old driver believed to be responsible for a deadly crash in Spring over the weekend is facing felony murder charges.

According to KTRK, the crash occurred at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of the Grand Parkway and Champion Forest Drive.

Police say the teen was turning onto the feeder road at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his Camaro and crashed into a wall.

The front passenger of the vehicle, 18-year-old Christopher Lujan, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and two passengers in the backseat, all teens, were rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The driver is now facing felony murder charges in connection to the crash. Their identity is being withheld due to their age.
