News: Rear-end crash on Southwest Freeway leaves 1 dead

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed when their vehicle was rear-ended by a pickup truck on the Southwest Freeway early Saturday morning.
According to a report by the Houston Chronicle, the driver of a pickup truck rear ended another vehicle at about 3 a.m. near the exit to Newcastle Drive.
Police say the driver in the second vehicle suffered fatal injuries in the crash. It is unclear if the driver in the pickup was hurt.
A HPD vehicle was also struck by another vehicle while officer were working at the scene. No injuries were reported as a result of that collision.
