HOUSTON, TX – A person died following a three-vehicle collision at 5100 North Eldridge Pkwy Tuesday morning, HPD reports.
According to witnesses, the driver of a Toyota Corolla was heading south on Eldridge Pkwy without its headlights on when it strayed into the northbound lanes and collided with the driver of a Nissan Frontier. The impact spun the Corolla around. The Corolla was then hit by the driver of a Toyota Tacoma that was traveling north. The Corolla finally came to rest in a ditch.
Emergency crews extricated the two occupants of the Corolla from the vehicle. Paramedics pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Tacoma were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
