News: Police release additional information concerning fatal crash at 11300 Martin Luther King Blvd

HOUSTON, TX – Additional details have been released regarding the fatal collision at 11300 Martin Luther King Blvd on August 24, according to Houston PD.

Witnesses at the scene say that a black Lincoln MKZ and another vehicle were involved in a street race. The Lincoln fled the area after colliding with a 62-year-old female pedestrian crossing the street at the intersection of MLK Blvd and Selinsky Rd.

Paramedics arrived at the scene around 11:55 and pronounced the victim dead. Her name will be released once it is verified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The incident is under investigation by the Vehicular Crimes Division of the Houston Police Department. They urge anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run to contact them immediately.
