News: Motorcyclist falls to his death after rear-ended by drunk driver on East Fwy

HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist was fatally struck by an alleged drunk driver at East Fwy and Hwy 90 on Monday morning, according to Fox 26 Houston.

The suspect was driving a Malibu when he struck the motorcyclist in the rear. The impact threw the motorcyclist off his vehicle and over the guardrails, where he plummeted 25 feet.

First responders were dispatched to the crash site around midnight. They pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.

Following the collision, the suspect abandoned the Malibu attempted to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended by police. Police have charged the suspect with intoxication manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid.
