News: Member of highway cleanup crew killed by semi-truck in Crosby

CROSBY, TX – A pedestrian was killed in the eastbound lanes of Highway 90 close to where it crosses paths with FM 2100 after he was struck by a semi-truck yesterday afternoon at roughly 1:30 p.m., reports KHOU.

Authorities have since confirmed that the man was a contractor who was hired to pick up debris from the roadway at the time of the accident. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The initial cause of the collision is still under investigation by police.
The highway was closed while the scene was cleared of debris, but is now reopened to traffic.
