News: Man suffers severe burns after bizarre explosion on Greenfield Trail

ATASCOCITA, TX – A man in his 20s was hospitalized after his truck exploded on Greenfield Trail, KTRK reports.

According to the sheriff, the victim was refilling a butane lighter while smoking inside his truck. This caused the butane vapors to ignite.

The explosion sent the truck flying onto a neighbor’s property. Once the truck came to rest, the victim exited it and collapsed on the ground.

Details concerning the victim’s current condition are unavailable.
