HOUSTON, TX – A man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver after he stepped out of his vehicle following an altercation with his girlfriend, reports Fox 29.

Police report that the victim was arguing with his girlfriend as they were driving down the freeway when she allegedly jerked the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to swerve and collide with a concrete wall. The man then exited onto the roadway and was subsequently struck by a pickup truck which fled the scene.

The wreckage of the first crash was then crashed into by a second vehicle.

First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene of the collision.

The charges the girlfriend face, if any, have not been confirmed.
