JACINTO CITY, TX – One man is currently in critical condition as a result of a rollover crash in Jacinto City early Wednesday morning, reports KHOU 11.

Paramedics responded to reports of a rolled vehicle at 3:30 a.m. on the westbound lanes of I-10 not far from where the highway crosses paths with Mercury Drive. According to an officer of the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division the driver attempted to exit the highway at excessive speeds causing him to lose control of the vehicle and collide with a guardrail. The vehicle then flipped three to five times before settling on the feeder road. The driver of the vehicle was thrown out of the car.

Paramedics transported the man to Ben Taub Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

The road was closed after the crash so police could investigate what happened just before the accident. Crews have since cleared the scene of debris.
