News: Man fatally struck by hit-and-run driver on I-45 in north Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A man was struck and killed while walking on I-45 in north Houston early Sunday morning.
According to a report by HPD, the victim was walking in the southbound main lanes of the freeway near the Sam Houston Tollway when he was hit sometime before 8 a.m.
Police say the unidentified man was able to make it to the grassy median, where he was discovered unresponsive a short time later. He was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver fled the scene before authorities arrived. No arrests have been made as of this writing.
