News: Hit-and-run collision kills pedestrian on the 1800 block of Hopper Rd

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run collision on the 1800 block of Hopper Rd on Monday, HCSO reports.

The victim, an unidentified white male, was walking on the 1800 block of Hopper Rd. As he approached the intersection with Exter St, he was struck by a vehicle that was driving on westbound Hopper Rd. The driver then fled the scene.

Emergency crews received calls concerning a hit-and-run at 6:22 p.m. and then responded to the scene of the crash. When they arrived, they pronounced the victim dead.

The incident is under investigation by the Vehicular Crimes Division of the Harris County Sherriff’s Office.
