News: HFD vehicle involved in crash that shut down part of US 59 in SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX – Several southbound lanes of US 59 were closed this morning after a collision involving at least two automobiles, one of which was a Houston Fire Department vehicle, reports Click2Houston.
The collision occurred around 10 a.m. this morning between a white sedan and an HPD vehicle on the Southwest Freeway not far from where it meets South Gessner Road.
All of the southbound main lanes were closed for hours as a result of the crash. No injuries were reported to have been caused by the accident.
Authorities have since cleared the debris of the crash and reopened all lanes to traffic.
