FRIENDSWOOD, TX – A child is dead after drowning in a community swimming pool Thursday morning, reports Fox 26.
The 13-year-old boy was discovered floating in the pool at the Heritage Park Village Sub-Division around 8 a.m. by two residents who were on their way to play tennis. They immediately dialed 911
The boy’s family had just realized the child was missing and called 911. Officers determined from the physical description of the boy found in the pool that it was the same child that had gone missing.
A stepladder was found near the fence to the pool and investigators believe that may be how he entered the locked pool.
