News: Fatal pedestrian collision reported on Westheimer Rd

HOUSTON, TX – Paramedics responded to an auto-pedestrian crash at 5400 Westheimer Rd Monday, according to HPD.

The 32-year-old driver of a Cadillac Escalade was traveling on westbound Westheimer Rd when the 63-year-old victim crossed into their path. The driver attempted but failed to avoid colliding with the victim.

First responders were called to the scene of the crash around 11:45 p.m. They transported the victim to an area hospital, where he died.

Officers do not believe impairment played a role in the collision.
