News: Driver found dead after pickup crashes into tree in SE Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A man was found dead after his pickup truck slammed into a tree in a southeast Houston neighborhood on Saturday morning.

According to KTRK, the incident occurred at about 2:25 a.m. near the intersection of Nellsfield Lane and Wimberly Canyon Court.

The official cause of death remains unclear at this time. However, the victim was found with a gunshot wound and lacerations on his head and arm.

Police say the unidentified man lived less than a block away from the crash site.
