News: Driver detained after rear-ending HPD vehicle in Sunnyside

HOUSTON, TX – A suspected drunk driver was detained after rear-ending a Houston police cruiser in the Sunnyside area on Saturday night.

According to Fox 26 Houston, the driver crashed into the rear of the patrol vehicle at about 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Reed Road and Scott Street.

Fortunately, no injuries were sustained in the crash. However, police believe the driver may have been under the influence when the crash occurred.

It is unclear at this time if the incident led to an arrest.
