HOUSTON, TX – According to KTRK, a child is dead after a man suspected of driving impaired driving fatally collided with multiple vehicles Saturday.

According to witnesses, a Honda was driving erratically on the southbound lanes of Hwy 59 prior to the crash. The driver then collided with a semi-truck, a Mercedes, and finally a box truck.

The 5-year-old child was launched from the car upon impact with the box truck. It is unclear if she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

In addition to the 5-year-old, the Honda was also occupied by a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old. They were both hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. It is unclear if the driver was related to the children.

Police have arrested the driver and charged him with murder.
