News: Child, deputy, and 2 others injured in multi-vehicle crash

HOUSTON, TX – Four people were injured, including a Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office deputy, following a multi-vehicle crash on Veterans Memorial last night.

According to KTRK, the crash occurred in the 13000 block of Veterans Memorial, near Bammel North Houston Road at about 9 p.m., as a deputy was responding to a call for assistance.

Another vehicle pulled in front of the deputy’s cruiser, which had its flashing lights and sirens activated. The police vehicle crashed into the car, and then ultimately involved another three vehicles.

Three people were, including a 12-year-old child, were taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The deputy was treated at the scene for minor wounds.
