SPRING, TX – A home surveillance camera captured what police are saying was an intentional two-vehicle collision that left the passenger and driver of one vehicle in critical condition, reports Spring Happenings.

According to witnesses, an SUV was excessively speeding down Blue Lake Drive at about 5:30 p.m. yesterday when it struck a sedan in the 18500 block of Forest Elms Drive. The impact was strong enough to force the sedan into a flatbed trailer that was parked alongside the road.

Crewmembers of the Spring Fire Department had to cut the two occupants of the sedan free using hydraulic rescue tools. The victims were taken to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, where they remain in critical condition.

Police believe the SUV’s driver struck the sedan deliberately in what appears to be a domestic incident. They say the driver of the SUV is the husband of the driver of the sedan, and now faces felony charges of Aggravated Assault on a Family Member and Aggravated Assault w/Deadly Weapon (vehicle).
