News: 84-year-old patient killed in Houston ambulance crash

HOUSTON, TX – An elderly woman was killed when the ambulance she was being transported in was involved in a multi-vehicle crash last Monday, December 20th.

According to a report by HPD, the incident occurred when the ambulance was traveling through the intersection of South Main Street and S Loop West and was struck by a green Toyota Sedan.

The 84-year-old patient was transferred to another ambulance and rushed to Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Several other individuals in the ambulance were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Toyota’s driver was questioned and released from the scene.
