News: 7-year-old killed in north Harris Co. hit-and-run

HARRIS CO., TX – A young girl was killed and a boy was injured following a hit-and-run crash in north Harris County on Saturday evening.

According to KTRK, the crash occurred when the driver of a Ford pickup truck ran through a stop sign at the intersection of Cullen Boulevard and Schurmier Road and slammed into a Dodge Sedan.

A 7-year-old girl in the Dodge was rushed to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Monday. Both the unidentified driver and a 7-year-old boy suffered unknown injuries.

Police say all three occupants in the pickup fled the scene on foot. It is unclear if any arrests have been made as of this writing.
