News: 45-year-old woman killed in rear-end crash on Main St.

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed and a man was hospitalized following a major rear-end crash in south Houston early this morning.

According to a report by HPD, the crash occurred at about 1:50 a.m. within the 1500 block of Main Street, near Old Spanish Trail.

Investigators say a 45-year-old woman was either stopped or slowed in the westbound lanes of the roadway when he vehicle was hit from behind by a Ford F-150.

The woman was rushed to a local hospital, where she died a short time later. The driver of the pickup, a 46-year-old man, was hospitalized in stable condition with a leg injury.
