News: 4 injured in fire at ExxonMobil facility in Baytown

BAYTOWN, TX – Four people were injured when a fire broke out at an ExxonMobil refinery in Baytown early this morning, KHOU reports.

The fire is believed to have started at about 1 a.m. in the section of the refinery that produces gasoline.

Three of of the injured workers were airlifted to an area hospital, while the fourth was taken by ambulance. All are said to be in stable condition as of 7:22 a.m.

There are no shelter-in-place orders in effect at this time, and the rest of the refinery remains in operation.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
