News: 21-year-old pedestrian killed in SE Houston crash

HOUSTON, TX – A man was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing a roadway in the Greater Hobby Area last Friday night.

According to a report by HPD, the 21-year-old man was attempting to cross in the 10100  block of Telephone Road near the intersection with Almeda Genoa Road when he was hit around 9:20 p.m.

The unidentified victim was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver involved, 21-year-old Jose Villarreal, was arrested after showing signs of impairment at the scene. He has since been charged with DWI.
