News: 21-year-old man killed in single-vehicle crash on Eastex Fwy.

HOUSTON, TX – A man was killed in a high-speed crash on the Eastex Freeway early Sunday morning.

According to a report by HPD,the crash took place when the driver took the exit to Rankin Road at a high rate of speed and lost control of his Toyota Camry. The vehicle skidded out of the control and slammed into a sign, a guardrail, and a light pole.

The driver, an unidentified 21-year-old man, was pronounced dead a the scene. No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Investigators believe wet road conditions played a role in the fatal crash.
