News: 2-vehicle accident kills elderly woman at 3200 State Hwy 6 South

COLLEGE STATION, TX – A 68-year-old woman was killed in a crash at 3200 State Hwy 6 South on August 13, according to Houston Police.
A woman, also 68, was driving an Acura TSX on southbound State Hwy 6 as the victim was driving a Honda Civic in the northbound lanes of the same road. The victim did not yield the right of way when she turned left onto Branch Forest Rd and was struck by the Acura.
Emergency crews responded to the area after receiving reports of the crash at 9:25 a.m. Once they arrived, they transported the victim to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The other driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics. She was also questioned and released by police.
Police are still investigating the incident.
