News: 2 teens hospitalized after running red light, colliding with truck

NEW CANEY, TX – Two people were taken to the hospital after a teenager ran a red light and collided with an 18-wheeler truck northwest of New Caney early this morning, according to the Montgomery County Police Reporter.
The crash happened at the intersection of FM 1485 Road and State Highway 242, between New Caney and Grangerland, when the teenage driver of a silver Honda Accord allegedly ran a red light.
An 18-wheeler Volvo truck then collided with the passenger side of the Accord, causing the car to spin off the road.
The teenage driver and their passenger were taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
The truck driver was not hurt in the crash.
