News: 2 killed, 2 injured in wrong way crash on I-45

HOUSTON, TX – Two people were killed and two others were sent to the hospital following a rear-end crash near downtown Houston early Sunday morning.

According to KTRK, the crash occurred when the driver of a Dodge Charger was heading north in the southbound lanes of I-45 near the exit to to White Oak Drive at about 12:40 a.m.

In total, three vehicles were involved in the crash. A man and a woman in one of the vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene.

The unidentified woman in the Dodge and a man in the third vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are working to establish an official cause of the crash at this time.
