News: 18-wheeler involved in fatal T-bone crash on East Fwy in Channelview

CHANNELVIEW, TX – A man died after he T-boned an 18-wheeler at in Channelview early this morning, according to KHOU.
The collision occurred near Bayou Drive in the 16600 block of the East Freeway service road at about 3:30 a.m.
The driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck, who was identified only as an adult man, reportedly went through a four-way stop sign. He broadsided an 18-wheeler that was passing through the intersection after stopping.
The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene. The semi-truck driver was not injured in the crash.
Due to the lack of skid marks in the area, authorities believe the deceased may have failed to brake before impact. Speed may also have been a factor in the fatal collision.
