News: 1 teen dead, another injured in 2-car crash on Buffalo Speedway

HOUSTON, TX – A 16-year-old girl is dead and an 18-year-old was hurt in a two-vehicle collision in southeast Houston last night, according to KTRK.

The collision happened in the 13900 block of Buffalo Speedway, near Darlinghurst Drive, at about 6:40 p.m., when the driver of a Dodge Cobalt was attempting to drive across the northbound lanes of Buffalo Speedway.

The Cobalt was then struck by the 18-year-old driver of a Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The pickup was sent over the curb and into the wooded median.

A passenger in the Ram, a 16-year-old girl, was pronounced dead after the crash.

The driver of the pickup was injured as a result.

It is unclear if the driver of the Cobalt was hurt.
