Man goes into cardiac arrest while driving

LEAGUE CITY, TX – An elderly man went into cardiac arrest while driving his grandson last Wednesday, reports KTRK.
The incident happened sometime Wednesday morning somewhere on Texas State Highway 96 within League City. William Floyd Smith, 70 was unconscious in the car when Police Chief Gary Ratliff appeared on the scene.
Ratliff enlisted the help of a bystander to help get Smith out of the truck and perform CPR on Smith. EMS later showed up and took over the life-saving measures.
Smith was hospitalized where he made a full recovery.
