Driver strikes, kills pedestrian on State Hwy 249

HOUSTON, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has released details of a fatal pedestrian collision that took place on State Hwy 249 in May.
The incident happened at 1:30 a.m. on May 15 at the 14300 block of State Highway 249.
A northbound Toyota Tundra struck an unidentified Hispanic male who was crossing the road. The pedestrian was hospitalized and died there from his injuries on June 17.
The driver remained at the scene following the accident and has cooperated with authorities.
The Vehicular Crimes Division of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
