Driver strikes electrical pole, dies on Sherman St

HOUSTON, TX – A man lost his life following a crash on Sherman Street on July 9, reports Houston Police.

A 53-year-old male was driving a Ford pickup truck with one passenger west on Sherman St when they strayed off the road and struck a pole at 7100 Sherman Street around 4:30 p.m.

The driver was taken to a hospital where they were pronounced dead. The passenger, an adult male, was uninjured in the collision.

According to investigators, the driver may have had a medical episode at the time of the accident.
